This is a wide ranging brief which covers Community Development, Community Services, Community Business Development and Limavady Community Forum.

Through its Community Development brief, Council accesses funding for a wide range of ongoing training and support. as well as providing the infrastructure to help communities help themselves.  As well as ongoing assistance to community organisations, Limavady Borough Council has also initiated several stand-alone projects, including:

Limavady Community Forum is a unique partnership between the community/voluntary sector and Council, which was officially established in March 2005 following extensive consultation throughout the Borough.  Limavady Community Forum is growing from strength to strength, it has recently been recognised as the mechanism for all consultation by Limavady Borough Council, Limavady Community Safety Partnership and WHSSB.

Each Council produces a three-year Community Support Plan. The Support Plan covering the period 2007 - 9 has just been produced, and approved in principle by Council. A public summary is available in the documents section of this page. Check back for further details later in the year on the full plan and actions emerging from it.
