Limavady has a dedicated arts and events officer, as well as a Culture, Arts and Tourism Manager. The Council manages an extensive community outreach programme for the arts, and manages around £50,000 of Culture & Arts from DeCAL and Council sources. Roe Valley Arts and Heritage Committee also manage their own range of events for the Borough.

Council runs and assists a variety of events and competitions; larger events include the Danny Boy Festival, the Jazz & Blues Festival and the Limavady Folk Festival. It also assists around 40 community arts events and festivals each year.

Council also employs an Irish Language Development Officer, who undertakes a programme of events, classes and talks through Development Services.

Council also contributes to the Causeway Museum Service, as well as managing the Green Lane Museum, employing a Museum Collections assistant, who manages and documents the entire Limavady collections on to a bespoke database.
