Limavady Borough Council can provide each household in the Borough with a
bulky waste collection if required.
Bulky waste mainly consists of old pieces of furniture such as chairs, tables, wardrobes etc. It can also be an old fridge, freezer or electrical appliance such as a computer or television.
All of these unused items can be taken free of charge and disposed off at your local Council Civic Amenity Site. However if you require Council to collect the material from your home a collection charge will be levied. Currently the cost of a bulky waste collection is £10 for up to the collection of ten items.
To find out more or arrange a bulky waste collection, please call the Technical Services Department on (028) 7776 0305.
Alternatively, before calling the Council you
could contact The Greenshed Project and find out if they could resell any of your unused items through their second hand shop premises in Limavady. For further information on The Greenshed Project please contact Kieran Corr on (028) 7776 9160 or e-mail greenshed@lcdi.co.uk
