From its inception nine years ago as a competition for local pupils from Ards, Down and North Down Council areas, Environmental YouthSpeak has now developed into an opportunity for school pupils all over Northern Ireland.
However, the aim remains the same: to encourage environmental awareness among our young people by giving them the opportunity to research and address environmental issues through this public speaking competition.
There are two sections, Junior Section and Senior Section appealing to both our primary and post primary schools.
The comptition is organised by Northern Ireland's three Waste Management Groups in co-operation with the Environmental and Heritage Service (EHS) and all twenty six local authorities. To enquire further about the competition or sign your school up to take part please contact Limavady Borough Council on (028) 7776 0305.

Limavady Borough Council in partnership with CTR will continue to provide this service throughout the year. To find out when the next collection will take place, contact Technical Services on (028) 7776 0305.
