Bellarena Railway Station opened on the 18th of July 1853 and although there was a brief closure of the station to passenger traffic. It is still in use as a stop on the Belfast/City of Derry line.
The station has been renovated to a high standard and is in two separate units. The Stationmaster’s House has 2 bedrooms, and is suitable for a family of 4 or 5. The Station is designed around the former waiting rooms, ticket office and luggage rooms retaining many of the original features. There are 2/3 bedrooms, and will sleep 6 people comfortably.
Even if you’re not a railway buff, this is a wonderful location to explore Ireland’s stunning North Coast.
