There are a number of motor sport events organised throughout the Borough at different times of the year. The Maiden City Motor Club runs two rounds of the Northern Ireland Championship, the Benbradagh Hill Climb which takes place in Spring just outside Dungiven and the Dogleap Stages in various forests around the Limavady area at the end of August. The Eagles Rock Hill Climb takes place in July each year and is a round of the Northern Ireland Hill Climb Championship. Regular motorcross events take place throughout the year at a permanent purpose built track just outside Ballykelly. The tour of the Sperrins Rally also passes through the borough and takes place in May each year.
