The Rough Fort, situated approximately 1 mile west of Limavady on the Monneyranal Road off the A2, is one of the best surviving prehistoric earthworks in the province. It is a prehistoric earthwork and is approximately 1 acre in size. Rough Fort was one of the first properties to be acquired by the National Trust in Northern Ireland.
