The River Roe flows for 30 miles from its source high on Glenshane Mountain, through the towns of Dungiven and Limavady, before meandering through Roe Estuary Nature Reserve and onto Lough Foyle.
The Roe is an important river for salmon & trout and for outdoor recreation including angling, canoeing and walking. Roe Valley Country Park is a great place to explore the river and woodland.
More information on the characteristics of the River Roe and its basin can be found here.
