The Department for Social Development (“DSD”) in partnership with Limavady Borough Council appointed the RPS Group to prepare a Regeneration Master Plan for Limavady Town Centre.
The Master Plan, which has been prepared in partnership the Council and other stakeholders, will be non-statutory. A copy of the terms of reference which was issued for this work can be downloaded from this page on the right hand side.
A range of consultation has already happened by time of writing including statutory agencies, youth, community and business groups. The regeneration principles which were applied were as follows:

Final Consultation
The Department for Social Development, in conjunction with Limavady Borough Council, is seeking comments and views from interested parties and the general public on the proposals contained in the draft Limavady Town Centre Masterplan.

Hard copies of the plan are available in the Council offices, as are display boards which summarise the main aspects of the plan.
Village Renewal
In addition, Limavady Borough is benefiting from substantial investment under the Rural Development Programme through a Village Renewal Measure. The villages of Gortnaghey, Burnfoot and Ballykelly have all been successful under this measure. Plans for village developments will be finalised in Autumn 2011.
