The Rural Development Programme (RDP) is aimed at improving the economic, social and environmental conditions in rural areas throughout Northern Ireland.
Whether you are a farmer, a member of a farm family, community organisations or one of the many other people who live or work in the countryside, the RDP may be able to help you. From farm modernisation, training and advice, to developing a new business idea or simply wanting to play a part in enhancing your local community, support may be at hand.
ARC North West is the delivery mechanism for Axis 3 & 4 of the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme (NIRDP) 2007-2013 which comprises the Council areas of Derry City Council, Limavady Borough Council, Omagh District Council and Strabane District Council.
The Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme 2007-2013 is part financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
At the local level the Programme is
- strategically delivered by a Statutory Joint Committee representing all four Councils
- implemented by a Local Action Group comprised of representatives from the business, community, agriculture, council and statutory sectors.
Details of the people who are members of the Committee and Group can be found here.
